There is something I love about reading a book before it is even released. It feels a little bit like being in on a secret and I was very excited to get stuck into this one.

I will be honest, I did not go in with the highest expectations. I have read quite a few housewife style thrillers recently and they can start to feel a bit samey. But this one completely proved me wrong.

From the very first chapter I was hooked. It had that immediate pull that makes you want to keep reading just one more page, and before you know it you are fully invested. The pacing was spot on and it kept me interested the whole way through without ever feeling repetitive or predictable.

And just when I thought I had it all figured out… absolutely not. The rug was well and truly pulled from under me. I love when a book manages to do that without it feeling forced, and this one nailed it.

The characters were engaging, the tension built really well, and it kept me guessing right until the end.

Final verdict
A five star read for me and one I would definitely recommend if you enjoy domestic thrillers with strong twists that genuinely catch you off guard. This is proof that even a familiar style can still feel fresh when it is done right.
