Safe to say I am officially back on my AJ Carter obsession again. I have said it before and I will say it again, his books are such easy reads and always come with a twist you do not see coming, and this one was no exception.

The Perfect Tenant centers around what seems like a straightforward situation of renting out a house… but as you can probably guess, things are not quite what they seem. What starts off feeling fairly normal quickly turns into something much more tense, with secrets, suspicion and that constant feeling that something is just not right.

This book pulled me in so easily and kept me there. It is one of those reads where you fly through the pages without even realising, and every time you think you have worked it out, something shifts. AJ Carter has a knack for keeping things simple but incredibly effective, and it works every time.

The pacing is spot on, the story is engaging throughout, and the twist… again… completely did me. I love that feeling of being caught off guard and this delivered exactly that.

Final verdict
If you want a quick, addictive thriller that keeps you guessing and delivers a proper twist, this is definitely one to pick up. Another solid five star read for me and proof that I am fully back on my AJ Carter hook.
